Here are a few issues and questions you might have for the pack answered by some of the devs. Much of this has been pasted from The Bracken Pack discord. For more complex questions, such as incompatibilities with other datapacks/mods, ask them there.

How do I change my team?

The easiest way to change teams would be through the /team command. If you have disabled teams, then an alternate way to select a race is through the /function command. To change to a new race, use "/function bracken:player/species/[insert species]/join". If you want to leave a race, use the same command, but replace join with leave.

The Pax Portal doesn't work.

This is most commonly caused by not activating the lever on the left, the fix should be rather self-explanatory. If it is already activated, try toggling off and then on. Another common problem is caused by a plugin disabling command blocks to prevent exploits. To solve this, re-enable command blocks.

The teams and thank you advancement work but the dimensions don’t.

Usually when this happens it’s due to one or more of the following: 

# There is some sort of plugin, mod, data pack, or add on that disagrees with the bracken pack and is causing the issue ('''spigot especially does not work well''' with custom dimensions). The following link has helped some individuals to work spigot into the pack. # The pack might have been installed, uninstalled, and then reinstalled. There’s too much lag. 

==== (Solutions for #2) ====
Although the extreme terrain in some of the dimensions can cause lag, there are a few running commands that might be a worse culprit. If you wish to delete specific types of commands from the pack, unzip the pack and follow the folder path:

data ----> bracken ----> functions ---> tick. 

If you open the tick file with a text editor like Notepad or Sublime Text, you can see nearly every command used in the pack. Each heading covers all of the commands below it. Simply delete or edit the commands you want, save the changes, and rezip the folder so the pack will be ready to use. Some potential lag culprits could be mentioned under the following headings: 

(1) ##########   GLACIUM COMMANDS   ##########

There are a few commands under this heading that modify the data of mobs in this dimension, which typically causes a huge lag spike right after the dimension is entered. 

(2) ##########   TEAM PLAYER EFFECTS   ##########

Although most of the effect abilities are granted every few seconds, some are activated every tick. Deleting these commands could help with lag. 

(3) ##########   BOOK BASED COMMANDS   ##########

Not something I believe causes too much lag, but if players don’t want a book-based combat system, it’s always removable.

I want to use Spigot features for my server/world, but the world generation/dimensions aren't working. What should I do?

First off, plugins HATE world generation datapacks for some odd reason. There is a spigot plugin to help with custom dimensions, however it is not always consistent, and can be buggy or ineffective at times. Second off, if you want to still use the features of spigot or certain plugins, but don't want the worldgen incompatibility so you can run The Bracken Pack or other worldgen stuff, check out this document made for alternates. Will there be more dimensions than the 11 currently in the pack?

Probably not, or at least in the form that you may be thinking. It's already hard enough making most of the dimensions interesting. There could be more added to every single one currently in the pack. For now, it's a definite no. We have passed around the idea of micro-dimensions to hold giant infinite dungeons, or slightly altered terrain that houses lore and other interesting things ''(think of The Upside Down in Stranger Things for how big some the differences would be)'' but all that was just ideas we were passing around for each other. Nothing concrete or for the foreseeable future on that one.

How can I change the teleportation values so I can build in the void or up higher in certain dimensions?

# Go into the file path: data>bracken>functions>dimension_commands inside the datapack folder.
# Find a set of text documents that feature the commands used for each specific dimension.
# Click on a dimension you want to change the y-value of. 
# Search for a command that detects y level for a player within a target selector 
# Change that y-level to what you would prefer. You can also mess with what Y value it spits you out of coming back and forth from dimension to dimension.
