The Bracken pack adds eleven different dimensions in total to find and explore. Each have their own theme and vary vastly from one another. In this article, there will be guides on how to enter each individual dimension, including basic descriptions of each one, and some of the effects each dimension has. If you want more information, click the link/name of the dimension you are curious about for information on the lore, structures, and biomes within each dimension.
GM's Updated guide to Bracken Pack Travel (NOTE: this map is outdated, look below to find more relevant means of travel)
Pax
Pax is a realm of peace and tranquility, and the highest current dimension within The Bracken Pack. It contains huge mountains of grass and smooth nether quartz, with flowers on the tops of each peak. The dimension itself has no hostile mobs in it, you cannot starve, and you will have twice the number of hearts within the dimension. You will also get jump boost x3, and weakness x100, making this an anti-PVP dimension.
To get to it, you must fly up or build up to the block limit in Faewilds.
In the lore, Pax is the home of the Realmkeepers, an expansionistic race that strives to improve the living conditions of other societies by eradicating disease and striving to maintain order and peace between the dimensions.
Pax is also home to The Arc, a giant gateway that allows you to enter any dimension via lever combinations and special keys that allow portals to any dimension to generate in the gate. It is one of two ways to enter Dormis without the use of cheats.
As of Update #36, Pax world height is now 512.
The Faewilds
The Faewilds is a series of ever-changing floating islands and forests. Almost entirely kept at night, it is a hostile, but rewarding dimension. Players who stay here have one less heart than usual, but gain a small amount of experience points every few seconds. The XP given doesn't repair mending tools. There also is a high increase in monster spawn rates, with phantoms being a natural part of the enemy spawns. You can also trade with "wandering villagers"(unmodeled Faefolk) and get unique spawn eggs exclusive to that dimension at Faewild villages in the Hamlet biome.
To enter Faewilds you must build or fly all the way up to the block limit in the Overworld.
In the lore, the Faewilds are home to the Faefolk, an almost ethereal, elvish race with an affinity for enchantment and an aversion toward material possessions.
The Underdark
The Underdark is the cave dimension of Brackenpack and is great place to locate diamonds, gold and more. A more expansive open cave system is located near the top of the dimension, with more ores in the upper limits of the realm as opposed to the smaller cave systems down below. Small patches of Blackstone and bedrock lines the walls, floors and ceilings of the area.
The Underdark is accessed by digging to y -62 in the Overworld.
The Underdark also features a custom mob called the Lost Miner, a passive Illager carrying an iron pickaxe and a diamond. Upon death, there is a rare chance the lost miner will drop the diamond with a note attached.
In the lore, a race of dwarf-like people known as Dwellers occupy this dimension. They enjoy comradery and trades between most races, and are a very friendly and charismatic people.
This dimension is also accessible by going on top of the nether roof. However, if you are wearing a wither skeleton skull, this will not happen. This feature was added to allow players to still utilize the nether roof.
Sanctum
Sanctum is a quiet dimension; remnants of an advanced ancient civilization lie below the white landscapes covering the broken buildings of a once great people. Ruined treasure lies dormant within some of the ruins left by the civilization. Netherite is hidden in many of the old structures of Sanctum, buried deep within the rusted machinery and cracked bricks.
To access Sanctum, you must dig all the way down to the bottom of the nether near bedrock level. To exit, drop into the Void by descending to bedrock level or fly up into the sky to return to the Nether.
Sanctum is also one of 6 dimensions that contains its own unique boss to challenge. It is also the only dimension to have a Mod die, and is currently modless. Due to it's proximity to the End, it's also the most avoided dimension aside from the End and The Void by many of the races. A feeling of dread occupies any who dare to walk the empty landscapes of the dimension.
In the lore, Outlanders used to call this dimension home. However after the downfall of their civilization, they are now a nomad race, much of their technological prowess lost to time.
The Void
The Void is a dimension of pure nothingness, and the origin of the universe before it was put together with a purpose. Much of the space in between dimensions is occupied by void. However, a hollowed out, huge version is accessible via digging down to the lowest point in Sanctum, The End, Panacea, Glacium, Varskspace, and Dormis. If you go too high in The End, you will also get here. Slow falling and blindness are applied to any who enter The Void. Beware the sounds of unknowable creatures as you descend.
When you fall to the bottom of the dimension, you will be teleported to one of the 14 dimensions, however you are twice as likely to go to Sanctum, Panacea, Glacium, Varskspace, Omnidrome, the Brine, or The End. Accessing a dimension through the void can be rewarding, although you may get sent to Dormis, and possibly trapped there.
No race or mod has been discovered here yet.
Glacium
Glacium is the frigid cold ice dimension within The Bracken Pack. It's filled to the brim with towering ice cliffs and freezing cold waters; a dangerous place for those who do not come prepared. Strays, vexes, and snowmen prowl the surface of the icy wastelands, so be well equipped while traversing this dimension. Water is so frigid it inflicts wither on any player that touches it. There are also towers with activated beacons that give off mining fatigue if approached. At the top of those towers are chests guarded by armored skeletons filled with powerful, but fragile loot. There is also a structure underwater as well.
To enter Glacium, you must stand on an activated beacon, as the same with exiting it. You can also find a beacon in the middle of a glacium tower, which you can use to return back if you do not have another one available.
In the lore, Glacium is home to the Frostkin, a race of ice and snow built from the contents of the dimension.
The Brine
The Brine is an aquatic dimension and is home to many species including the Nereids. It is a brewing dimension, meaning potions instantly brew here as well as don't run out of fuel when looked at. There is also a great slew of potion-related items in some of the chests of the structures. Travelling past the tail end of the water in The Brine leads you into The Void. Be wary of the many guardians swimming about in it's waters, as they spawn VERY frequently.
The Brine is one of the dimensions whose world height has been altered as of Update #37, and is now 512 blocks tall.
To enter the Brine, you must find an ancient portal structure in a deep ocean in the overworld. Wherever you enter the portal a structure to return back to the Overworld will appear in the Brine
In the lore, Nereids are the sea-folk that inhabit the Brine, and swim frequently together in packs throughout the waters. Nereids tend to possess a strong affinity for exploration and adventure, and are very family oriented. Realmkeepers are also currently attempting to acquire brine territory. The Protector is the only Mod to have his will over two dimensions, playing both on the side of the Nereids as well as the Realmkeepers.
The Omnidrome
A hub for inventors and builders wishing to create without restriction, the Omnidrome is a dimension in which the laws of physics obey its inhabitants rather than them obeying it. A sentient race of machines called the Automechs also occupy the realm, and treasure information like a coveted resource. It is a cyberspace themed dimension, hence the falling enchantment particle effects and green-synthwave landscape.
Speed is granted while sprinting in this dimension, and pressing shift while in this dimension allows any user to "fly", even in survival. Nether bricks and stained glass cover much of the green-sythwave landscape. Falling into the "void" teleports the player to the top of the skybox, preventing a swift and untimely death if the player falls too low.
To enter, you must run by an end crystal within the nether, and exiting the dimension requires another end crystal as well. If you forget to bring one, an end crystal will always spawn when you first enter.
(WARNING: do not use shaders with zero custom fog or color support, as it will ruin the green glow from this dimension, making things look very confusing.)
Varskspace
Varskspace is a dimension created by a being known as the Traveler. Although mostly featureless, the realm was designed to aid others in exploration.
Every block in this dimension is 100 blocks in the overworld, great for escapes from enemies, finding new locations, or easy travel between bases. In this dimension, you have an extreme speed buff that makes you run at incredible speeds, which increases in speed slowly while running. To enter this dimension, you must get struck by lightning, and to exit, you have to sprint for a brief period of time without bumping into anything.
Panacea
Panacea is the primal jungle world of The Bracken Pack. The homeworld of the Hunters, Panacea is a primeval world, untainted by civilization. Its wild influence enhances the presence of its native flora and fauna, which almost seem drawn to devouring any artificial structures. Those entering this realm will experience an increase in health and vitality, at the cost of a constant hunger effect.
To enter this dimension, you must wear a creeper head and getting as close to a creeper as possible. To leave this dimension, repeat the same process but in Panacea. Assuming you run close to the Creeper before it explodes, you shouldn't receive damage.
Update #37 saw Panacea's world height increase to 384 blocks tall.
Update #49 Added chlorocrafter to Panacea, allowing players to craft vitality armor from leather armor and spore drops. It is crafted by going to the Panacea dimension and placing an item frame containing bone meal on top of a crafting table block. It also added spore drops to death loot table of mobs within the Panacea dimension.
In the lore, Hunters are a race of adaptable people who live for the thrill of stalking and killing of any creatures they can. They are often hired as assassins as they are very adapt at tracking, and can amalgamate the traits of any prey they consume into their DNA. They also often hunt and kill in packs, making them one of the most deadly and powerful races in all of The Bracken Pack.
Dormis
Dormis is a dimension built to be the ultimate prison by The Judge, the current mod of Dormis. Its inhabitants include both prisoners and their descendants. It is very hostile environment, with lava and bedrock covering the grounds. You will get resistance x10 once every ten seconds, making escaping by death harder in this dimension. Also, every 100 blocks in this world is only a single block in the overworld. There are many shelf-like layers of Dormis, which increase the difficulty in traversing this dimension.
With Update #36, there was an increase in Dormis' world height to 512 blocks.
Currently, it houses The Solatium Thrall, one of the few unique Bracken Pack bosses currently in the dimensions. Killing it drops a very powerful, but fragile golden helmet, as well as the only way to get the Worm-toothed Burrower magic book.
To leave Dormis, you must travel below y = -20 through the use of a Worm-toothed Burrower book to break the bedrock and enter The Void, or be summoned to Varskspace. The only way to enter Dormis is through cheats, or through lever combinations in The Arc, the portal gate in Pax.
In the lore, the most heinous criminals end up in Dormis, simply known as Villains. They are the dominant "species" of this realm and owe their ancestry to multiple captured peoples from other realms. Dormis was once the original home of the Realmkeepers, who had formerly assisted in keeping the criminals and prisoners in line. Later the race was soon adopted as the Realmkeepers and migrated to Pax when The Protector(mod of Pax) rewarded them for their aid in maintaining order during a turbulent era.
