Overview[]

Glacium is the frigid cold ice dimension within The Bracken Pack. A dangerous place for those who do not come prepared. Strays, vexes, and snowmen prowl the surface of the icy wastelands, so it is recommended to be well equipped while traversing this dimension. Water is also so freezing cold that it will inflict wither on any player that touches it unless you are a part of the Frostkin race. There are also towers with activated beacons that exude mining fatigue if approached. At the top of those towers are chests guarded by armored skeletons (Middle Age Guards) filled with powerful, but fragile loot. A few structures generate underwater here.

To enter Glacium, you must stand on an activated beacon, as the same with exiting it. You can also find a beacon in the middle of a Glacium tower, which you can use to return back if you do not have another one available.

If you swim too far underwater here, you will end up in The Void.

Structures[]

A typical beacon tower

-The Boreal Frontier houses beacon towers that contain an entity called the frozen heart, which grants mining fatigue over a large radius. Very high quality loot such as the Frosfang, an enchanted diamond sword, is found in barrels at the top of each structure.

A typical snowman village

-The Invasive forest may contain a Snowman Village, complete with walls, igloos, and snowman inhabitants.

A typical underwater cave

-The Ice mass biome has a very hard to find Underwater Cave structure. The structure is filled with water and contains several baby snow fox spawners as well as a throne partially buried in ice. This throne contains the buried Bygone Viceroy, Glacium's Frostkin-themed boss. Walk to the throne to begin the tough fight.

A typical giant snowflake

-The Fractured Wastes usually contains a Giant Snowflake structure, which constantly spawn falling shulker bullets and area of effect clouds. A miniboss exists at the center of the structure and drops a powerful trident if slain. Diamond ore also can be found here.

A typical viperfish fossil

-The Glacial Mass biome houses the Viperfish Fossil. It is a structure that's submerged underground, usually in water and is somewhat rare to find, but contains an abundance of bone blocks and iron blocks in its teeth. This structure also generates in the Dark Soot Dunes biome in Sanctum, albeit far more rarely.

A typical hidden orb

-The rare Hidden Orb structure is found in the fractured wastes biome. Its function is unknown. However, diamond blocks and ore can be collected at its center. It is also surrounded by sea lanterns and covered in blue stained glass, making it easier to spot when looking for it over the ice.

Many of the Glacium structures may contain loot with enchantment levels surpassing what is typically achievable in survival mode, such as the tower, snowflake, and ice cave.

Biomes[]

Boreal Frontier is a rewarding but dangerous stone wasteland filled to the brim with many strays holding powerful enchanted tridents. Be wary of the cracked stone clusters on the ground in this biome, as some of the clusters can even contain diamond ore in the debris.

Fractured Wastes is a biome that bares a very similar resemblance to the Ice Spikes biome in vanilla Minecraft. It contains rigid ice pillars that jut out from the ground, as well as intense terrain filled with ice mountains and strange rock formations. On the sheets of ice on the lower ground before the water, you can tell it is a Fractured Waste biome by the spikey ice stalagmites that rise from the water.

Glacial Mass is a pure ice biome, with the cold so dense it creates little patches of ice floating in the air. There seems to be some sort of magic at play, as some of the ice blocks even float out in the sky from the water, creating small little holes in the ground. Sounds of heavy and dense ice crackling can be heard upon entering this biome.

The Invasive Forests are biomes that contain warped wart basalt trees and an abundance of igloos and snowman villages. Here is the only place you can find proper grass and dirt, as all the other biomes contain snow or ice.

Lore[]

Glacium is a frozen realm that gets as cold as the nether is hot. The inhabitants include calcium-based life forms that resemble fur-covered trilobites. At one point in history, the stray empire once ruled over several dimensions, but has long since crumbled into obscurity. Their descendants can still be found in the nether and overworld.
