No one born outside of Panacea knows anything about Hunter Languages. Individual tribes living mere miles apart will speak with dialects and grammatical differences more varied and dissimilar to each other than any other two species outside of Panacea. Exacerbating any efforts in comprehension further, genetic diversification in Hunters results in vast differences in what Hunters are able to hear and speak. For example, bat-like Hunters communicate in a vocal range that is above what most Mortals can hear, while elephant-like Hunters might speak in octaves too low to hear. There is obviously a diverse and complex history to how languages in Panacea evolved but due to the sheer scope of layered complexity, no academically accepted tree model for Hunter linguistics exists. As if created with the express effort of taunting linguistic scholars further, some Hunter cultures inexplicably use ancient Dweller words that predate the Glacium invasion era. Even stranger, some linguistic analyses have placed one singular Hunter language as being a precursor tongue to all other Nereid languages.
