Overview[]
Pax is a realm of peace and tranquility, and the highest current stacked dimension within the Bracken Pack. The dimension is physically high by itself, with its world height being 512 blocks tall. To get to it, you must fly up or build up to the block limit in The Faewilds.
Pax's terrain consists of massive mountains of dirt and nether quartz, with flowers on the tops of each peak. The dimension itself has no hostile mobs in it, you cannot starve, and you will have twice the number of hearts within the dimension. You will also get jump boost x3, weakness x100, and slow-falling (this effect gets removed when wearing an elytra), making this an anti-PVP dimension.
Pax is also home to The Arc, a giant gateway that allows you to enter any dimension via lever combinations. It is the easiest way to enter Dormis without the use of cheats.
Structures[]
The Ancient Double Tree structure is located in the Petal Grove biome. The double tree is, as the name suggests, two trees intertwined with loot in its branches. Each of the tree structures contains three chests, one of which will always contain a Book of Arbitrium - a very valuable book for its reusable ability to change a player's race. In fact, it is the only way to change your race after using the Species Beginner Book without using admin commands. The book itself costs 50 levels to use. For more information on how to use the book, click here to check out a video tutorial.
The other two contain an incredibly useful Pax dimension portal key and a map to the nearest Arc. The Returning Tides book also has a 66% chance to spawn in any of the tree chests. In addition, one side of the tree contains spawners that constantly drop valuable golden apples from the tree.
The Ancient Statue structure can be found in the Sky Garden biome. It comes in four variants, resembles a person, and is mainly made up of quartz. Each variant represents a response to a past wound:
"One holds a shield. One folds it's hands. One holds tears. One walks the land."
The Windmill structure is found in the Autumn Idyll biome. Inside you can find hay bales and bookshelves.
The Launchpad structure is commonly found on sea level in all biomes. It propels the player into the air to make traversing Pax a bit easier.
A portal gateway structure known as The Arc is found in the Cloud Canopy biome and allows you to travel to ANY dimension through the use of lever combinations by finding special keys located in each dimension. First, hit the lever to the left to activate the portal. Then, use the four levers on the right to select which dimension you wish to go to. The color of the particles around the player and the portal indicates the corresponding dimension the player will go to. A good strategy is to build a base or place a lodestone for easy access to easy travel between dimensions. (NOTE: The Arc only teleports you to the chosen dimension, it cannot teleport you back from one.)
Pax is also home to a custom mob called the Crofter. It is a mob which does not pose any threat to you, however it does have a Dormis Portal Key hanging from its neck...
Biomes[]
The Petal Grove within Pax contains pink trees and little blocks of smooth nether quartz peeking out the top of the ground. It has a slight pink haze sky, and also contains the Ancient Double Tree, which contains the only way to change the players race without admin rights.
The Cloud Canopy is a very beautiful biome of silver trees and small clouds made out of powder snow blocks. This is also where you can find The Arc.
The Sky Gardens is a biome of green trees, fields of flowers and many sheep. In addition, the Ancient Statue structure spawns here.
The Autumn Idyll biome features large swathes of wheat fields, amber-colored trees, and water pools lined with mud bricks. It is also home to the Windmill structure.
The Cenotaph biome features copious amounts of poppy flowers, red-tinted trees, and giant swords left behind from ancient wars.
Lore[]
Pax is a realm constructed to facilitate peace and tranquility.
Currently, Pax is the home of the Realmkeepers, an expansionistic race that strives to improve the living conditions of other societies by eradicating disease and striving to maintain order and peace between the dimensions.
Trivia[]
In previous versions, you could travel to Dormis by going above y = 1550 here. This no longer appears to be the case, and you now have to either get randomly teleported to Dormis via the Void, or, as mentioned before, use The Arc.
