Overview[]
The Faewilds is a series of ever-changing floating islands and forests. Almost entirely kept at night, it is a hostile, but rewarding dimension. Players who stay here have one less heart than usual, but gain a small amount of xp every few seconds. There also is a high increase in monster spawn rates, with phantoms being a natural part of the enemy spawns. However, there are large sources of lapis ore in the stone.
To enter Faewilds you must build or fly all the way up to the block limit in the Overworld. To leave, drop down to the very bottom to return to the overworld. If shift is held in the Faewilds, the player receives slow-falling.
The Faewilds are home to the Faefolk, a magical, athletic, elvish race with an affinity for enchantment.
Structures[]
There are Rampion towers in the Wanderlight Woods, with a chest at the top of each tower that is filled with berries, cobwebs, Bottle's O' Enchanting, and sometimes golden carrots. It also has an illusioner spawner inside the tower.
Faewild pool structures are located in the Foison Fields. On opposite sides of the pillars contain spawners that constantly create pool shulkers that protect the very center of the pool. In the center is 4 shulker boxes that contain tons of Bottle's O' Enchanting, cobwebs, and more.
The Fae Theater is located in the Malmsey Meadows biome. It is a great stage for the faefolk to carry out the realm famous plays. You can find armor stands with leather armor and chests filled with an assortment of dyes and leather backstage.
The floating island structure is a series of islands that extend upward in the Dreamfall Dells biome. Inside the house at the top is a chest with various Faewild goodies(very similar loot table to the Faewild Tower). There is a second, higher island located at the very top with doors that lead to a water source, and four lapis blocks under the water. There is also a chest at the very top of the water source.
The Mushroom Ring structure is a circle of mycelium blocks that have mushrooms on top of them. A forest ranger spawns inside. You can find this structure in the Wanderight Woods biome.
The Faecastle structure is enormous castle filled with an assortment of interconnected rooms, stairs, towers and hallways. It is a still a work-in-progress structure with exciting features to come in future updates. This structure can be found in the clandestine castle grounds biome.
The Fae Village is a floating village suspended in the air high above the Hidden Hamlet biome. The village itself contains different types of fae villagers who will trade you unique items for experience bottles. Beware though - hostile, axe-wielding fae knights may be hiding in some of the houses.
Biomes[]
The Wanderlight Woods biome is filled with tall trees and shrubbery covering the ground all around the islands. Be on the lookout for monsters with the increased monster spawn rate, especially with the tree cover creating even more shade. Tower structures spawn here as well as the mushroom ring structure.
The Dreamfall Dells biome is one of the most unique and magical biomes in The Bracken Pack. It contains glowing stained glass, stone trees with sea lanterns located inside and outside of the trees. The "grass" is replaced with warped nylium in this biome, and large twisting vines grow throughout. Be on the lookout for a floating island house structure, as it gives a very easy pre-built Faewild base to any player that wishes to settle in The Faewilds.
The Foison Fields biome is very self-explanatory. It is a large open field containing tall grass, and small patches of mossy cobblestone. In addition, it also has some watermelon patches you can find on some of the isles as well. Just watch out for spiders.
The Hidden Hamlet biome is very similar to the Wanderlight Woods biome except for its distinct willow trees alongside the usual very tall trees. It also contains the special Fae Village, a very valuable location that has unique and exclusive spawn eggs. (see above in structures). Despite the inhabitants of said village being wandering traders, they are canonically Faefolk. When using the resource pack, these wandering traders will have custom models to resemble faefolk traders.
The Mesosphere is a biome meant to curb most of the structures spawning on the bottom of the void and is located below the other biomes. While it doesn't fix all the issues, such as the fae village partially generating on the mesosphere, it should fix most structure generation.
The Malmsey Meadow biome is a flower filled biome with bright poppy red grass and foliage. There are also hanging lanterns above the trees. Player who love to decorate gardens or make lots of dye will make great use of this biome for the many flowers it contains. You can also find the Fae Theater in this biome.
The Darkwood Thicket biome is, as suggested by it's name, a dark and dreary place. Littered with oak and birch trees, mangrove roots and dead bushes, cobwebs and deadly creatures of the night, night vision potions will not be enough to traverse this biome as it will still be too dark. You must bring torches with you if wish to brave this biome.
The Clandestine Castlegrounds biome appears to be similar to the Foison Fields biome at first. However, it is the only place where the W.I.P. Faecastle structure can be found. Aside from this, it is quite plain.
Lore[]
The Faewild is an ever-changing landscape of floating islands and forests where time and space behave inconsistently. The Faefolk that dwell within tend to lack realization of permanence, oftentimes being non-materialistic and spontaneously chaotic, having little recollection of past events or anticipation toward the future.
